Living to Eat, vs. Eating to Live; or Restaurants in Western Montana

I love eating!  Wait let me qualify that, I love eating good food.   Deciding to move to a new location can be difficult, especially if you are a "foodie" because you worry that there will be no place to go to experience the mouthwatering flavors that bring a smile to your face.  Thinking of food in Montana, most people think steak house, but there are a surprising number of amazing restaurants that do not only include that bovine slab.

In the Bitterroot starting in Darby there is The Blue Joint, which is a Pizza/Burger place with a fish and chips fetish.   Moving north to Hamilton there is Bouilla, only open for breakfast and lunch but great variety, try their huckleberry creme brule. 2cd Street Sushi is a great Sushi house, make a reservation for this one though.  The Spice of Life and the Red Rooster are Hamilton classics.

Victor offers the Victor Steak House, and Cowboy Troys, as well as Hamilton A Public House for great fish and chips.   Stevensville has the elite Marie's Italian, which is only open part time.   For Brunch on Sunday you can't beat The Mission Bistro, which has great food all the time. Florence has Cafe Firenze which offers great Italian fare, in a cute Italian style villa.   Lolo has the Lolo Creek Steak House.

These are just a few, (my favorites), that allow the Foodie in you to enjoy great food while searching for the perfect place to live in the great Bitterroot Valley, of Montana.
