Skiing in Montana

One of the best things about Montana is the winter, and all the fun activites, especially skiing!!!   There are many places to ski in Western Montana that are within a morning's drive.  In the Bitterroot Valley on the crossroads of the Montana/Idaho border there is Lost Trail.   In Missoula there is SnowBowl which offers amazing views of the city and surrounding areas. Discovery is just a few hours down the interstate just outside of Phillipsburg. Maverick is tucked away to the south.   There are also several destination resorts such as Big Sky south of Bozeman , Bridger Bowl in Bozeman, Red Lodge the furthest east,  and Whitefish Mountain. Turner Mountain is located in Libby,  Blacktail is in between Missoula and Kalispell, with Showdown being north of Bozeman. Great Divide just north of Helena, Lookout Pass on the Western Montana/Idaho border, Teton Pass in Choteau and Bear Paw just south of Havre.
